Project Manager
Join us as a Project Manager and help drive the initiatives that make travel more sustainable. You’ll connect people, plans and purpose — turning complex ideas into real-world impact.
As a Project Manager at Travalyst, you will be the organisational heartbeat that keeps some of our most exciting and impactful sustainability solution workstreams moving. You’ll turn bold ideas into structured plans, ensuring that our partnerships, frameworks and tools all come together smoothly and on time.
Your work will have real-world impact, owning the management of projects that have a direct impact on Travalyst’s policy and industry relations - bringing sustainability data to millions of travellers and influencing how some of the biggest brands in travel make their decisions. You will plan, deliver, track and report upon our progress across our key initiatives, using your project management skills to ensure we deliver our objectives. You will work closely with the Strategy, Product, Communications and Partnerships teams to ensure that our work progresses in a timely manner, and captures and addresses the issues raised by all stakeholders. Managing key internal and external stakeholders is a key requirement, as well as with our Independent Advisory Group to ensure that our sustainability frameworks are robust and implementable.
You will work closely with the TPIR team, TVL Leadership, the Product Managers and the Head of Strategy & Impact to agree weekly, monthly and quarterly priorities which will accelerate progress towards our mission. In particular, you will oversee our Accommodation Certifications Initiative (where you will manage submissions from and follow up with industry bodies) as well as enhance the organisation’s tools and systems to ensure the team works as efficiently as possible. Whether it’s bringing our coalition together in a Working Group session or ensuring that our sustainability frameworks are robust and ready for implementation, you’ll be helping to drive collaboration and progress every day.
Ideally you will have previously worked in travel, technology or sustainability and will be comfortable supporting a team across multiple time zones.
Project examples you’ll be supporting on include:
Our Travalyst (Accommodation) Certifications Initiative - that sits within Policy and Industry Relations vertical - requires liaising with certification bodies/schemes, governmental organisations, industry stakeholders and other relevant entities within the certifications ecosystem to globally scale sharing trusted sustainability information.
Project System Design - Overseeing our project management software, like Notion, and building out the entire project management system including documentation libraries and dashboards that help the team work smarter not harder.
Policy and Insights - Researching and monitoring global government and regulatory activities that could affect the travel and tourism sector to keep our coalition ahead of the curve - especially the certifications sector, with a specific focus on the EU, UK and North America.
Support overall TPIR team deliverables - helping our TPIR team expand Travalyst’s position as a trusted, credible authority to catalyse action on sustainable development in tourism, through private-public partnerships and industry-wide insights.
Contract Type
Permanent, full-time (though we may consider strong applicants on a 0.8 FTE).
Timeframe
Available from January 2026.
What you’ll get to do:
Every day will bring something new - from detailed planning to creative problem solving and meaningful collaboration. You’ll:
Build detailed project plans that translate strategy into action
Createworkflows and track progress by managing project documentation, implementation and execution
Develop appropriate systems to keep track of people and progress and keep everyone aligned and informed
Anticipate and resolve challenges before they become roadblocks, conducting risk assessments where necessary.
Schedule regular meetings across the Travalyst stakeholder group and record decisions and actions
Prepare and provide insightful documentation to internal teams and key stakeholders, including doing research to help develop ideas and move projects forward
Be the go-to contact for core stakeholders and external partners - trusted, organised and always one step ahead.
Proactively seek out opportunities for stakeholders (both Secretariat and wider Coalition) to meet virtually and in-person during/around scheduled events (e.g. conferences)
Work closely with the programme and partnership managers, as well as the senior leadership team, to identify project requirements, interdependencies, delivery timelines and costs
Identify and assign project tasks based on the skill sets, experience and strengths of staff and stakeholders, including teams at partner organisations
Help shape and track Travalyst’s sustainability frameworks and ensure key milestones are met.
Celebrate progress, capture learnings, and help tell the story of what’s working so we can do even more of it.
What skills we’re looking for:
You might have worked in a project management role in travel before, perhaps deploying complex projects at one of our partner organisations or a similar large, multi-stakeholder environment. You will be passionate about making travel more sustainable and offering consumers informed choices.
Project management experience, preferably within the travel and/or sustainability sector and in a multi-stakeholder context

Experience working with the implementation of EU policy and regulation

An understanding of travel industry technologies (e.g. global distribution systems) and experience within the accommodation certifications sector would be advantageous
Excellent knowledge of Notion (or similar). Familiarity with Google workspaces is advantageous
You may have a professional qualification, such as PRINCE2, 'Agile' project management etc, although practical experience with successfully delivering multiple complex projects is more important.

A genuine passion for sustainable travel.

We are committed to being a driving force that redefines what it means to travel, helping everyone explore our world in a way that protects both people and places, and secures a positive future for destinations and local communities for generations to come.
Founded by Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex, we are a pre-competitive coalition of some of the biggest names in travel and technology including Amadeus, BCD, Booking.com, Expedia, Google, Mastercard, PitchUp, Sabre, Skyscanner, The Travel Corporation, Trip.com Group, Tripadvisor, and Visa. We now partner with fifteen of the world’s leading companies and brands associated with travel representing a combined market value of almost $3tn, working together to make travel more sustainable.
Travalyst provides supportive, independent and neutral governance, empowering our Coalition of some of the biggest – and occasionally competing – travel companies and service providers to share data and accelerate change. The goal is to bring credible, consistent sustainability information to the mainstream, helping both travellers and travel companies make better, greener choices.
