Brand and Product Marketing Lead
Create compelling campaigns, manage our digital strategy, and turn bold ideas into lasting impact in this exciting short-term contract role!
We’re looking for an experienced Brand and Marketing professional to cover a short-term sabbatical. This person will be a confident generalist - someone who can balance creative storytelling with strategic thinking. You’ll ensure continuity across Travalyst’s digital platforms, maintain brand consistency, and lead the development of engaging content and visual assets for new initiatives, launches and fundraising opportunities. Above all, you’ll translate complex sustainability and product work into digestible and compelling narratives and visual assets that inspire action.
Day to day, you will work closely with the Head of Comms, Marketing & Brand as well as the Marketing & Communications Lead within your immediate team. You will also collaborate with the Leadership Team and colleagues across Product, Policy & Partnerships, as well as the Communications Leads at our partners. This is an opportunity to work with some of the leading brands in and around travel to have a real impact.
This role would be ideally suited to someone from a B2B marketing background. At the intersection of travel, sustainability and tech, Travalyst has a strong focus on the industry audience.

Creative Development
- Design and produce assets (and accompanying copy) that communicate our impact and attract new partners and donors.
- Outsource and manage production of visual assets, video work, reports and other content where necessary.
Brand Management
- Serve as brand guardian, ensuring consistent tone, visual identity and messaging across all channels.
- Support internal teams and partners to apply brand guidelines effectively in documents, presentations, and events.
Product Marketing & Campaigns
- Work with the Head of Department to develop and execute marketing plans for product updates and launches, reports, insights and events.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align messaging, timing, and assets.
- Track performance and report on key outcomes.
Website & Digital Strategy
- Oversee website strategy, structure and content updates (WordPress).
- Develop and maintain website copy and content; translating complex technical concepts into easy to digest information.
- Manage analytics and performance using Google Analytics, Search Console, Tag Manager, and related tools.
- Optimise digital journeys for engagement, lead generation and SEO.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing & Communications Lead to maximise cross pollination opportunities across website, newsletter, blog, social media.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Maintain clear timelines and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects.
- Coordinate with and manage external contractors, designers, agencies, and other suppliers, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Communicate progress and priorities clearly with senior leadership.
- Oversee budget for content creation and web development.
What skills we’re looking for:
- Excellent written and visual communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Strong proficiency in visual design tools and confidence adopting a Brand identity and ensuring consistency in Brand presence.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing tools (Google suite, Analytics, etc).
- Proven experience managing and updating WordPress websites.
- Experience managing agencies, freelancers, and other external partners, including creative and technical suppliers.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines.
- A proactive, hands-on, but collaborative working style — comfortable working autonomously within a small team, but maintaining strong working relationships with other parts of the business.
- Comfortable working in a virtual-office environment. Highly motivated and productive in that sort of remote environment.
- Adaptability
- The ideal candidate will be able to operate comfortably at different levels; from briefing senior leaders and partners to developing engaging slides.
- Travalyst is in scale-up mode so it’s important to stay nimble and pivot on our journey as we scale.
- Sustainability, travel industry and/or tech product knowledge would be a distinct advantage.
Please note, this role does not include PR, media relations or social media, which are handled by another member of the team.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, sustainability or relevant field.
- At least seven years’ experience in a similar role.

We are committed to being a driving force that redefines what it means to travel, helping everyone explore our world in a way that protects both people and places, and secures a positive future for destinations and local communities for generations to come.

We now partner with fifteen of the world’s leading companies and brands associated with travel representing a combined market value of almost $3tn, working together to make travel more sustainable.
Travalyst provides supportive, independent and neutral governance, empowering our Coalition of some of the biggest – and occasionally competing – travel companies and service providers to share data and accelerate change. The goal is to bring credible, consistent sustainability information to the mainstream, helping both travellers and travel companies make better, greener choices.
How do we work?
We are bold and humble, showing a willingness to embrace challenges head-on. We try new things, take risks, make educated guesses and move quickly to deliver impact.
